Distributor Wire expanded their value added service in April by purchasing a new wire twisting machine for their Denver, CO location.
This state-of-the-art twister has the ability to twist cables, such as MTW and THHN, from sizes 10 AWG to 28 AWG at very fast speeds. The speed of the new twister is very important and it allows us to process and fill your orders faster than ever.
“We can run our twister at over 1500 R.P.M. allowing us to twist a 2500 ft spool in less than 8 minutes,” commented Marcos Hernandez, assistant logistical manager at DWC in Denver. “Also, the take-up cradle can handle reels of up to 32 inches allowing us to twist even greater runs than 2500 ft when requested by our customers.”
Not only does our twister run at high speeds and twist large runs, but our customers can also specify a wide variety of lays from 1/2 inch to 6 inch on their twisting job.
DWC is offering a 24 hour turnaround on all twisting orders, similar to their current striping and dyeing services. Same day will call services are also available for smaller twisting jobs for local wholesalers.
With the addition of the new twisting machine, Distributor Wire is the only company in the Rocky Mountain and Pacific Northwest Regions offering wire twisting services solely to the electrical wholesaler.
